MUM Kids
Maumee UMC Children and Family Ministries mission is to empower children to embrace, connect, and, share God's love! Recognizing that parents are the primary spiritual leaders in their lives, we support parents by equipping them with resources, guidance, and opportunities to engage in faith-building activities with their children. We strive to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where children can grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and learn the joy of sharing God's love with the world.
If it is your first Sunday joining us, you can look for a welcoming face at our Kid's Welcome Desk, located through the family entrance at Door C. From there, we will be happy to make sure you know where you are going, have enough hands to get there, and are fully registered. You can register in person or in advance online.
Sunday School & Nursery Care
All of our volunteers are Safe Sanctuaries trained every year and undergo regular national background checks. Safe Sanctuaries is our church’s pledge to create a safe space for children, youth, vulnerable adults, and the servants who care for them. This includes:
- Careful screening and selection of volunteers
- Annual training in safety procedures
- National background checks every 3 years
- Established reporting procedures in line with Ohio law
- Operational guidelines that protect children and volunteers in all programs and events
In addition, we use an electronic check-in system to ensure that only parents or guardians can pick up their child.
Unauthorized adults do not have access to children’s areas. We take every measure possible to ensure a safe, welcoming place where your child can grow in faith with confidence and joy.
